Wisdom can sneak up on you when you least expect it. If you're not paying attention and catch it out of the corner of your eye, you might think it's a spider and squish it flat...
Well, if there is one thing I am an expert at, it is change within myself. I have had to change, or continue to live without Annie. I am taking medication now, for mood spectrum disorder. Figuring that I now have this component in place, I have completely eliminated alcohol, reefer, caffeine and sugar. I have had to make other character adjustments also, but it is paying off handsomely. Annie has accepted me back into her life, so I am thrilled to continue on this program.
ReplyDeleteMark, I am so glad to hear things are working out for you. :)

ReplyDeleteEven though there were qualifications, I still somehow found this quote to ultimately be encouraging.
DeleteWe can only change ourselves. That;s what they say. And I say that too but then I look at a situation and I say, if I can only change myself in this situation, and I don't want to change myself, then I had better accept what is. Life is too complicated some days.
