I had big plans for the inaugural post of this year's A-Z Challenge. "A" was going to be for Appaloosa and I was going to share a story about frozen horse poop employed as a weapon in a battle of the sexes (of sorts), but alas, midnight has come much more quickly than I'd anticipated so we will have to settle for a whole other word. Since I found myself buried beneath a mound of unanticipated obligations...
A is for Avalanche.

A is for "another time". Real life has this way of taking over sometimes - as it should. I would love to hear your appaloosa story sometime. Maybe you could do it on P day - for projectile, or poop. Or B for battle, or H for hurl, or horse. :) Hope that your unanticipated obligations are not incapacitating or overly stressful.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely going to use it sometime this month--there's no way I'm making it to the end of the alphabet without pulling out every goofy story I've got left. :)
Deletehey, whatever, nobody's judging:-) good luck with the challenge (though I'm sorry we missed the story, it sounds brilliant, could you squeeze it in with a different letter?)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the luck and same to you. Looking forward to following your flash fiction through the alphabet. :)
DeleteYes, PLEASE write that story, under any pretense or letter! As soon as today! Good job getting a post up for A, and I'll be looking forward to B soon :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement, Julie Ann. Wanted you to know that I was over on your yoga blog but unable to leave a comment without creating a Google+ profile and Google+ would not accept my "name" (Masked Mom) because it did not conform to their names policy. Looking for a work-around on that. :)
DeleteHa ha! You have got to write that story! I'll be back to read it for sure! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's three-quarters done and in my drafts folder--just have to pick a letter. ;)
Deletedo want you can and be happy
ReplyDeleteGreat to follow and connect through A to Z

Thanks for stopping by, Charlotte. :)
DeleteI feel that perhaps a more apt "A" frame might have been "Always Available to All"... in terms of the avalanche of obligations Mom is subject to (on a daily basis).
ReplyDeleteHorse Poop stories could be told for H or P.... and I know I'd love to hear about this one!
ReplyDeleteMidnight does come around too quickly for these A-Z challenges.
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with your A post, though. How very clever to leave us with a tease of a future post.
