"What?" I called back.
"Where are you?"
"Hiding."
"Where?"
"It's a secret." All the while she's getting closer to finding me.
"Where are you?"
"Hiding."
She's in the doorway. "What are you doing?"
"Hiding."
"From what?"
"Uh..."
"Kids?" she asks.
"Yes," I say, scooping her up. "But one kid found me. Can you guess which one?"
"Aw, man."
PS--No Risk pieces were harmed in the making of this post. Though I must admit that the first time I played this version, I looked at the colorful little pieces with their utterly chewable protrusions and remarked, "If they don't want us to eat the pieces, why do they make them look so edible?"
I love two year olds :) no, seriously. Terrific twos
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of that age, too. Really, but I have to say I really, really enjoy the ones I can send home at the end of the evening. I get all the fun stuff and none of the tantrums.
DeleteI'm with Judy. Two-year-olds are fabulous. Did all of the Risk pieces survive the game intact?
ReplyDeleteIt was a pretty close call, but yes they survived intact. :)
DeleteLove it! Is this seriously a children's version of Risk???
ReplyDeleteBased on the colors you might think it was a children's version, but no, alas, it's a NEW grown-up version, in which the rules change from game-to-game based upon decisions players make. It's a little crazy, but I will admit it's definitely a quicker game and more interesting than the original. (Plus I won the second game I played, so that's a plus.)
DeleteShe sounds so cute I might want to hug her.
ReplyDeleteShe's oh-so-huggable even when she finds my best hiding spot.
