Hardly Worth The Effort

Brilliant* observation:

You know what gets me is all those people who talk about "killing two birds with one stone" like it's a good thing. You know what you get when you kill two birds with one stone?

Two dead birds and a rock.

*Masked Mom cannot guarantee that this observation will appear brilliant to everyone. Brilliance is yet another thing that is in the eye of the beholder.

  1. No, I get it. I also think of "the road to hell is paved with good intentions"...along with two dead birds and a rock!

Or the "early bird catches the worm" . . . what kind of reward is THAT??? I'd rather sleep in, thanks.

  3. This remindes me of 'Deep Thoughts' from Saturday Night Live. I love 'Deep Thoughts,' but maybe I'm just simple like that.

  4. Two dead birds is supper though.

SM--You're right and the rock could probably be used for some fancy Emeril style pressing or steaming over hot coals technique. It's all about perspective & mine is frequently skewed especially after spending an afternoon trying to multi-task everyone else's needs. You know how that goes...

  6. PS to SM--Have we talked about this before? It all sounds very famliar.
